On Sake the Bake’s third blogversary I would like to thank you for being part of my journey. I am grateful for all the love and encouragement I have received over the years from 42 countries.
When I started (rather when my daughter Anaika .. the founder of STB pushed me to it🥰) I didn’t want to be traced to my roots. But as one evolves, you realise that’s what makes you authentic. The influences from your childhood, your family of cooks, the society you grew up in, your own travels from a very young age and your preferences.
From working in a corporate environment part time in college and full time soon after, cooking was the last thing I wanted to be associated with. But hey, life happens..most of us are not living our ideal life but the sooner we embrace it, the sooner we can bloom where we are planted ♥️.
Today on STBs 3rd blogversary I am making 3 recipes in the same shape but 3 totally different flavours (inspired by Delia Smith).. a sweet, a sour and a savoury : a Viennese tartlet, a lemon curd butterfly cake, a Gruyere and goats cheese savoury muffin. Even though the mould is the same the flavours are entirely different.. that sums up life in different measures doesn’t it ? Let 2021 be the milestone year after the reset year ..for the best is surely yet to come ♥️
