Vanilla burst cookies 🍪

Isn’t life better lived when you don’t center it on what’s happening around you but what’s happening inside you ?Work on yourself and your inner peace ! Or work on some super easy cookies for your kids class party 🥳.

I do things last minute, so I really appreciate people who are super organised and everything goes as per clockwork. For a last minute person like me, nothing elaborate and pain staking works. Hence I have a quick fool proof cookie recipe to get things moving fast.

I love this recipe for the ease of making it and it’s versatility. I made this for a class party and wrote all the students name on it. You can do the same for a birthday party too ! If you goof up this recipe, you have a future in the Netflix show “ Nailed it “😀.

Bake your day or someone else’s 😍♥️.

Ingredients:

Unsalted softened butter – 1/2 cup

All purpose flour – 1 1/4 cup

Powdered sugar – 1/4 cup

Salt – 1/4 tsp

Pure Vanilla extract – 1 tbsp

Method :

Preheat oven to 175 C.

Beat butter. Add sugar. Add sieved flour and salt together. Add vanilla extract.

On a cookie tray ( I didn’t grease it ) make small balls from a tbsp of dough. Flatten the cookie using the base of a glass. Leave atleast one inch space between the cookies. Bake for 10-12 mins in the preheated oven until edges start turning golden. Makes around 20 cookies. ( It really depends on the size of the cookie dough you pinch off to make each cookie )

Add a pinch of ♥️:

To make it an orange burst cookie, add orange rind and substitute vanilla with an orange liqueur/ extract. Add chocolate chips in the dough or roll it in plain cornflakes and bake. Let your creativity take over with this super easy dough !

Sareeka ♥️
