Oven Fried Chicken Tenders:
This is the top of my kid pleaser menu. I whip it up when I have run out of ideas or patience ( either or both ) , when the kids come home hungry from school.
It works for a teenager and a toddler equally . I end up making it atleast once a week and I don’t hear anyone whimpering over lunch.
Ingredients :
Skinless chicken breast – 3 ( cut it into uniform 1 inch strips )
Marinade :
Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Pepper – 2 tsp
Salt – 2 tsp
Coat the chicken strips in the marinade for 20 mins.
Dipping mixture :
Beaten Egg – 2
Salt and pepper – as desired
Crumb coating :
Bread Crumbs – 2 cups ( powder bread coarsely in the blender )
Grated Parmesan cheese – 3/4 cup
Salt – if needed
Mix the crumb mixture ingredients together and spread it in a flat dish.
Method :
Preheat oven to 175 C .
Dip the marinated chicken in the dipping mixture and then coat it with the crumb coating and set aside .
( These can be referigerated at this stage or frozen )
In a lightly greased baking sheet, arrange the coated chicken strips in a single layer .
Bake for 15 mins turning once when 3/4th done, until golden colour.
Add a pinch of love❤️ :
Lightly spray some cooking oil or melted butter on the chicken pieces before baking for extra crispiness.
Bake on a wire rack with a metal cookie sheet placed under for perfect baking.
Serve hot with your favourite dipping sauce.
